A thermoelectric generator relies on the "thermoelectric effect" to convert heat directly into electricity. It is a solid state device with no moving parts and so it is completely silent and extremely reliable. Due to the high reliability of thermoelectric power supplies they have been used for years to provide electrical power in space missions where solar power is not available. Two examples of the many space missions that have relied on thermoelectric power supplies are the "Voyager" that was sent into deep space and has operated successfully for more the 20 years and the "Apollo" lunar missions where thermoelectric power supplies powered equipment that was left behind for more than a decade.                                                                                 -----Hi-Z Technology

Everredtronics starts Thermoelectric generator/Seebeck module developing since 2005, and we have a independant team specially created from our conventional TEM dept and joined by materials & thermal-electricity field professors from Fudan University and Central South University, After years exploring, we become the professional manufacturer in the thermoelectric generators industrial, our TEGs are grouped by 2 categories by max. operating temperature/max. Th temperature:

  • Max. 210 Celsius Degree/ 410F / 483.15K / 869.67Ra
There are ceramic and aluminium pads for our thermoelectric generators (Max. hot side temperature 210 Celsius Degree), and our common supplies are with ceramic plates. Left image is the TEG254-1.4-1.6, and right is the same model but delivered with Aluminium plates (thickness approx. 1.2mm each), which could help improve the heat flow efficiency by 10%-20%.      The following specification are based on that the hot side temperature is at 160℃ and cold side at 50℃.

Important

Test indicates that the TEGs share the same characteristics with batteries, when connected in series, Voutput=VTEG1 + VTEG2
when in Parallel, VTEG1=VTEG2 (Note: Connect the same TEG under the same circumstance)
so, to achieve higher Output Voltage or current, you could use such features or DC-DC converter.
